Two nonprofit organizations, the Clean Energy Group and SmartPower, have released a report titled ‘Smart Solar Marketing Strategies,’ which details how states can emulate retail marketers in creating product value and consumer interest in solar power.
The report, which was partially funded by the Department of Energy, provides examples of marketing initiatives that have assisted states in increasing the demand for solar to achieve its clean energy goals. According to the report, state solar programs that follow retail marketing strategies have the potential to sharply increase solar power purchases and installations.
