The Nevada Institute for Renewable Energy Commercialization (NIREC) has launched a request for proposals (RFP) awarding up to $100,000 for technology validation and technical proof of concept activities for renewable energy technologies.
Proposals will be selected competitively via a stringent review process conducted by NIREC's Technology Commercialization Advisory Board. Selected projects are expected to fully engage in the Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) program and aspire to a commercially viable solution.
The EIR program is the avenue through which NIREC integrates researchers, experienced entrepreneurs, business executives and sources of capital to identify and fund viable cost-effective renewable energy solutions and companies.
Application documentation can be found at www.nirec.org/rfp.html. The deadline for submission is June 18, and successful awardees will be announced in September.
