Envision Solar International Inc. and Horizon Energy Group have begun the design work on a 35 MW solar project in North Carolina.
Under the terms of the agreement signed by the companies, Horizon Energy will develop, finance and own the project, and Envision Solar will be responsible for the design, fabrication and delivery of 2,300 of its proprietary and patented Solar Tree structures. Installation of the Solar Tree structures is expected to commence in the second quarter of this year and be completed by the end of 2014.
Envision Solar and Horizon will work with Green Energy Corp. and McKim Creed Green, which will be the lead development and delivery team for the project. Envision's Solar Tree structures will be assembled locally and installed at the site by local companies.
