NV Energy is seeking information from renewable developers to assist the utility in identifying potential sites for new company-owned solar power assets. The request for information (RFI) is an effort to meet the requirements of Nevada's SB 123, which mandates emissions reductions and new renewable energy generating capacity.
According to NV Energy, project parameters include sites with delivery to the Nevada Power Co. grid with nameplate capacity of 20 MW (AC) or greater and that are sufficiently developed to meet a 2016 commercial operation date. Responses to the RFI are due March 21.
