The Oak Grove School District in San Jose, Calif., and Chevron Energy Solutions have completed a PV installation that is expected to save the district more than $13 million in energy costs over the life of the project, according to Chevron.

Installed at four schools and the district office, the 1.8 MW solar photovoltaic system will generate up to 90% of the electricity demand at the five sites. It features parking canopies and shade structures.

In addition to designing, developing and constructing the district's solar photovoltaic system, Chevron Energy Solutions is helping the district identify and secure millions of dollars in utility incentives and rebates, providing an additional fiscal benefit to the district and local taxpayers, the company adds.
