Oerlikon Solar is delivering a turnkey thin-film silicon solar-module production plant to Pramac SpA – the first of its kind in Switzerland. The facility is scheduled to ramp-up in early 2009, and the annual capacity will be 30 MWp.
‘We are very pleased that Pramac, an Italian company, has chosen a Swiss location for their production line,’ comments Jeannine Sargent, CEO of Oerlikon Solar. ‘This is a significant milestone for Swiss industrial thin-film solar module production on a grand scale.’
Pramac says it is planning an annual production of approximately 250,000 solar modules in the first stage of expansion.
