One Sun Installs PV Array With Solar EV Charging Stations

Graton, Calif.-based solar provider One Sun Inc. has completed installation of a 157 kW solar array at the Twin Hills Unified School District in Sebastopol, Calif.

In addition to arrays installed on shaded walkways, parking structures and solar flowers, the system includes two PEP solar-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. According to the company, these stations are the first of their kind to be installed on public school campuses in the U.S.

In all, the installation is expected to cover 80% of the schools' total electricity needs and save the district $80,000 annually, One Sun says.
