Oneworld Energy Inc., a Toronto-based renewable energy company, says its wholly owned subsidiary, COU Solar Inc., is working with a number of manufacturing partners to develop a solar manufacturing hub in Welland, Ontario.
The hub is intended to meet the Government of Ontario's domestic content requirements under Ontario's Green Energy Act. Solar firms planning to participate include manufacturers of PV modules, inverters and racking systems for both ground-mounted and roof-mounted PV plants.
It is anticipated that the Welland solar manufacturing hub will create over 1,000 direct and indirect jobs in Ontario, says Oneworld Energy.
