Aerocompact has announced AeroTool Light, an online software tool that the company says allows solar providers to plan and create layouts for a ballasted PV system on a flat roof without ever having to go on the roof.
With the help of Google Maps, AeroTool Light displays roof obstructions, such as skylights or ventilation pipes, and uses the chosen module scaled to the roof dimensions. Aerocompact says that after the user enters basic information, the tool provides an editable module layout and a standardized static design, among other things, within minutes.
With the software, solar providers can utilize their resources and save planning time and costs, especially in the bidding stage of a project, adds Aerocompact.
AeroTool Light is available following a registration process at aerocompact.com/us/aerotool.html.
