Spain-based OPDE – a company specializing in the promotion, construction and maintenance of photovoltaic facilities – has begun operations at a new control and remote monitoring center. The control center is located at the company's Fustinana, Spain, headquarters.
The system used by OPDE centralizes the monitoring and storage of all information in real time. It measures both installation parameters (trackers, meters and inverters) and meteorological parameters (temperature, radiation and wind speed). All information is stored on a high-performance server with 24/7 availability.
OPDE says it currently controls and manages a total of 10,000 trackers and about 30,000 inverters from its control center.
