Spain-based Grupo OPDE has signed a collaborative agreement with the governor of the state of Durango, Mexico, to study, plan, build and launch solar farms that will reach a total capacity of 45 MW.
The development will occur from 2010 to 2013. The first 1 MW of PV will be located in the Logistics and Industrial Park in Durango and will be fully operational this year.
The agreement also calls for OPDE to open new branches in this Mexican region within approximately three years.
