nic Corp. plans to introduce HIT-215 Series solar panels that were developed through the company's acquisition of Sanyo last year. The products are expected to be available in July, the Mainichi Daily News reports. Panasonic plans to expand its Japanese sales of its solar energy technology to 450,000 kW of capacity by fiscal-year 2012. The HIT-215 Series features a conversion rate of 16.8% and a compact size suitable for narrow rooftops, Panasonic notes.
