D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments LLC and Bright Plain Renewable Energy LLC have completed two solar power projects in Lake County, Ind. Both 2.7 MW projects were originally developed by Community Energy Solar.
Northern Indiana Public Service Co. has contracted the project's electricity output under a long-term renewable power purchase agreement. groSolar provided engineering, procurement and construction services. Construction began in March, and the plants became operational in August.
