Dynamic Energy Solutions, a turnkey solar engineering and construction company, and SunStream Hudson, which owns and operates solar projects, have begun building 5.3 MW of solar in New York.
According to Dynamic Energy Solutions, the partnership covers two 2.65 MW projects located next to each other on 21 acres of vacant land in the town of Greenport, Columbia County. The company says the undertaking will require about 16,000 solar panels.
The solar-generated power will offset about 10% of energy consumed by St. Peter’s Health Partners’ St. Peter’s Hospital and the Center for Disability Services. The projects are expected to be operational in August.
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authorityfacilitated the projects through the state’s NY-Sun Initiative. MMA Energy Capital is providing construction financing for the projects, and M&T Bank will provide permanent financing.
