Austin, Texas-based PCI Solar has begun construction of a 2.46 MW portfolio of solar projects for the City of Woodland, Calif.
The six separate photovoltaic systems include carports, rooftops, a solar shade canopy and a ground-mount solar array. The portfolio is expected to assist in offsetting Woodland's energy use at its city hall, community center, library, police station and other municipal facilities.
The systems will incorporate Hanwha Q-Cells PV panels and Solectria inverters, as well as aluminum homerun conductors and energy optimization through localized step-up transformers.
