Florida-based energy provider Pear Energy is now offering solar power as part of its renewable energy purchase program.
The company recently signed a deal to source solar energy via renewable energy credits from 14 MW of solar projects developed through Florida-based Gainesville Regional Utilities' (GRU) feed-in-tariff program.
In addition to adding solar power to its mix, Pear Energy has added its first subscriber from North Dakota. The company says it now has subscribers in all 50 U.S. states.
‘We love the idea that power generated here in Gainesville will positively impact communities thousands of miles away, thanks to partners like Pear Energy,’ says Scott Schlossman, lead rates and forecasting analyst at GRU.
