Phono Solar, a solar company specializing in the design and production of monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon solar modules, has completed a 632 kW solar project at the San Bernardino International Airport in California.

The newly completed installation employs 2,688 panels constructed from Phono Solar's 240 W Mono Series and will offset energy costs and utility bills at the airport terminal. The $2.8 million project, which includes a new parking structure, took eight months to complete.

Project developer Premier Solar of Redlands, Calif., won the contract as the successful low bidder on the electrical portion. Blymyer Engineers Inc. of Alameda, Calif., and architectural group Jacobs of Oakland, Calif., also contributed to the project.
