Power-Save Energy Co., based in San Luis Obispo, Calif., has signed a contract to supply a 411 kW photovoltaic solar system for installation on CBS' Television City, East Studio and Main Studio buildings in Los Angeles.
CA Power-Save, an authorized Power-Save Energy Co. distributor, will design and install the array. Power-Save Energy Co. will supply all the solar equipment: solar panels from Ningbo Solar, inverters from PV Powered and racking from Unirac.
The installation was funded through a federal tax grant, a Los Angeles Department of Water & Power rebate, and funding from CBS, which is expected to save approximately $120,000 per year in electrical costs and recoup the system costs in less than five years, according to Power-Save Energy Co.
