PPCSolar Wins PV Installation Contract

0

The Taos and Penasco school districts have awarded the contract for supply of equipment, project design, construction and installation of photovoltaic arrays at schools in northern New Mexico to PPCSolar.

The 50 kW Taos School District array will be installed at Taos High School, and the 50 kW Penasco project will be installed at Penasco High School. Both installations will feature polycrystalline modules from SCHOTT Solar PV Inc., based in Albuquerque, N.M., and Fronius inverters.

The Taos array will be mounted on a newly constructed carport canopy, and the Penasco array will be ground-mounted. Both projects are expected to be commissioned before the end of the year. They are funded directly through a grant system initiated last year utilizing funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.Â
