Pro-Tech Energy Solutions LLC, a self-funded turnkey energy services company, has partnered with the New Shrewsbury Racquet Club (NSRC) in Tinton Falls, N.J., to install a 281.06 kW photovoltaic solar array that will generate an estimated $49,000 in annual savings, according to the company.
‘In September, 1,200 solar panels were installed on a new steel roof, making NSRC the first tennis club in New Jersey to be a major green energy producer, generating 100 percent of its electric energy from solar,’ says Rich Maizel, managing director of NSRC.
Together with Englert Inc., Pro-Tech's preferred vendor for roofing design and installation, the partners installed a new steel roof to withstand the weight of the solar panels. The combined roofing and solar installation took one month to complete, Pro-Tech notes.
