ProLogis, a global provider of distribution facilities, will install a second rooftop solar project in Southern California, totaling 11.1 MW.
ProLogis has signed a master agreement with Southern California Edison (SCE) to provide approximately 100 MW of generated power to the utility through its rooftop solar program. This latest announcement is for the first phase of the master agreement that covers 2.5 million square feet of roof space across five buildings.
SCE will own and operate the system, and all generated power will feed directly into the utility's electrical system to serve its customers. As site host of the project, ProLogis will receive roof rental income and construction management fees. Construction is expected to commence this summer.
This project brings ProLogis' total partnership with SCE to 13.5 MW of solar energy.Â
