PV Powered Inc. has hired Christopher Houghton as eastern regional sales manager. He will be responsible the sales and support of the company's line of residential and commercial solar inverters.
Houghton was previously an engineering/project manager for Solar Design Associates of Harvard, Mass., where he performed design, engineering, installation and project management tasks related to PV projects. Prior to that, he held technical and sales management positions with two major PV system distributors, where he provided technical assistance to installers and helped them grow their businesses.
Houghton began his career at Kyocera Solar Inc. constructing and testing multicrystalline photovoltaic modules and integrating PV systems, including a mobile power center for the Smithsonian and power systems for the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority.
