Delaware-based PV Thermal Solar LLC has received a patent for its SolarRac2 ballasted solar racking system. The company says the system is aerodynamic and suitable for wind conditions up to 150 mph.
PV Thermal says the SolarRac2 only requires 3.4 pounds of total weight – including racking, solar panel and ballast – in many applications. SolarRac2Â has high tilt and low tilt versions covered by the patent.
