Quantum Solar Power Corp. has appointed Steven Pleging, owner of solar energy market consultancy TeamSolar BV, as chairman of the board and director, and Andras G. Pattantyus-Abraham, Quantum's chief technology officer (CTO), as director.
Prior to founding TeamSolar BV, Pleging served as CEO of Ecostream International BV, where he helped grow revenues from $15 million to over $160 million in four years. Prior to Ecostream, Pleging also served as business line manager for Philips Lighting's solar division, where he managed the company's entrance into the solar marketplace.
As Quantum's CTO, Pattantyus-Abraham oversees a team of scientists dedicated to transitioning the company's scientific concepts into a National Renewable Energy Laboratory-certified PV devices. Prior to joining the company in 2009, he was principal scientist at the University of Toronto's Sargent Research Group.
