Quixotic Systems Inc., a New York-based solar system integrator, has completed what the company says is the largest solar hot water system in Staten Island.
The system was designed by Quixotic Systems for the Joan and Alan Bernikow Jewish Community Center (JCC), and was installed by Quixotic Systems and the Community Environmental Center.
The installed comprises 24 Heliodyne Gobi 410 panels capable of producing 3,139 therms per year, according to Quixotic Systems. It is projected to result in an annual savings of $4,000 annuaaly for the JCC. The project was partially funded through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and the New York Economic Development Corp.
