RBI Solar Inc. has been selected by SunPeak Solar LLC to supply and install its solar racking systems for SunPeak's 28 MW solar energy generation plant located in Niland, Calif. The project is expected to make Niland the first all-solar-powered city in the U.S., according to the companies.
RBI has already installed over 10,000 posts to support 100,000 polycrystalline silicon modules. This fixed-tilt, ground-mounted solar project covers just under 130 acres of land. RBI is using its standard ground-mount system for this project. On average, the RBI on-site crew will install over 600 kW per day.
