Germany-based REC has provided its Peak Energy Series solar panels for NEXTDC's M1 data center in Port Melbourne, Australia.
Built by Energy Matters, the rooftop installation incorporates 1,575 panels and is expected to generate 550 MWh of electricity per year. The system produces 5% of the electricity used at the site.
