Recurrent Energy, a distributed power company and provider of solar energy, has selected Sheldon Kimber, formerly vice president of finance, as vice president of development based on his decade of experience in energy finance, project origination and development. In his new role, Kimber leads all North American project development and origination activities.

In addition, Benjamin Cook has joined the company as vice president of finance, filling the vacancy left by Kimber's transition. Cook brings with him nearly 15 years' experience with corporate and project finance, as well as executive management in the renewable and traditional power industries.

Recurrent Energy has also formally added Karl Knight, who joined the company in September 2008 as managing director of international development. Knight is spearheading Recurrent Energy's growing distributed solar project pipeline in Europe and emerging markets worldwide.
