Recurrent Energy’s Harris Elected Chairman Of SEIA

The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) has elected a new chair and vice chair to serve on its board of directors' executive committee.

Arno Harris, CEO of Recurrent Energy, has been named chairman. Patricia Nugent, director of policy and business development for Dow Solar, has been named vice chairwoman.

Harris founded Recurrent Energy in 2006. Acquired by Sharp Corp. in 2010, Recurrent Energy is now the primary solar development company for Sharp worldwide. In 2001, Harris founded Prevalent Power, a commercial solar sales and installation business that he later sold to Energy Innovations.

Nugent has worked at Dow since 1987 and has held diverse roles in research and development and new business development. She was the co-founder and charter officer of a national consortium supporting the Environmental Protection Agency in setting standards for immunochemistry use in regulatory methods.
