Reis Robotics To Showcase New Assembly-Line Technologies

0

Reis Robotics, a provider of turnkey solar module production-line automation, plans to exhibit several new assembly-line technologies at the upcoming 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference in Hamburg, Germany.

The products include a new system for fully automated assembly of the junction box that is mounted on a platform and is ready for integration into any existing production line with minimum expenditure. This product eliminates the need for foil stamping and unthreading of terminal lugs, the company notes.

Reis Robotics also plans to unveil a new concept for automatic tape application that requires little maintenance and has few wear parts. A synchronized drive allows stress-free tape application and precise tape-cutting, according to the company. The new process avoids prior touching of the adhesive surface to the glass and allows fully automated splicing to ensure change from one tape coil to the other without interruption.

In addition, Reis Robotics is the planned preferred supplier for liquid encapsulation from Dow Corning for Europe, the U.S. and most of Asia. The company says this system offers low investment, low energy consumption, fast cycle times, excellent stability, high electric stability and high module efficiency due to better transparency than with conventional systems.
