ReneSola Ltd. is developing a 13 MW solar project in Dorset, England. The project will incorporate ReneSola's Virtus II photovoltaic modules.
ReneSola expects the solar farm to be fully operational and connected to the national energy grid by the end of this year. The company says it has identified a number of potential buyers for the project, which is eligible for the U.K.'s support scheme to promote renewable electricity-generating technologies.
‘While we remain focused on our retail and residential-oriented business development, we selectively pursue project opportunities across our key markets when we identify good value and when the projects are in line with our broader strategic objectives,’ says Xianshou Li, ReneSola's CEO, adding that the Dorset project will be one of a series of projects the company plans to build in the coming quarters. ‘The United Kingdom is one of our best-performing markets and one of the world's fastest-growing major solar markets.’
