ReneSola Ltd. has opened a 3,000 metric-ton polysilicon manufacturing facility and processed its first batch of polysilicon from Phase I of the new plant, located in Meishan city, Sichuan province, China.
Phase II is expected to reach mechanical completion in September. ReneSola's Sichuan polysilicon manufacturing facility utilizes a closed-loop Advanced Siemens Process for polysilicon production.
