RESOL has introduced to the solar market its WMZ product, a universal heat meter for solar thermal systems and conventional heating systems. The calorimeter takes into consideration that the density and the specific heat capacity of the heat transfer fluid depend on the temperature – as well as on the mixing ratio – of water and glycol.
The RESOL WMZ calculates the heat quantity using these parameters, the measurement of flow and return temperature by two precision temperature sensors and the evaluation of the impulses of a flowmeter. By means of the Vbus connection, data are transmitted to a RESOL solar controller, PC or datalogger in order to be further processed or evaluated.
