Response Microwave Inc. – a global specialist in providing connectivity solutions for the industrial, defense and telecommunications markets – says its new family of PV junction boxes and associated cables is now available.
The new line includes 12A and 15A versions, with capabilities to handle between four and eight panel ribbons. Three bypass diodes are used to protect the panel against reverse polarity in case of partial shade (hot spot) conditions. Boxes offer a unique integrated cable management system and are cable of withstanding environmental conditions between -40 degrees C to +85 degrees C, the company notes.
Ribbons are connected via a spring-loaded clamp system, and the overall design facilitates attachment of the box to the PV panel via automated processes. All boxes are 100% electrically tested at the factory. TUV, ISO and RoHSand WEEE certifications apply.
