Rowland Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of plastic film and sheet products, and Arkema Inc., a France-based chemical company, have introduced Rowlar, a new line of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) films specifically designed for photovoltaic front-sheet applications.
According to the company, Rowlar was developed by applying the film design and manufacturing capabilities of Rowland Technologies' proprietary Kynar PVDF to the PV front-sheet market.
Rowlar offers a selection of standard gloss and low-glare surfaces, is highly transparent and has a lower refractive index than glass, Rowland Technologies adds.
