San Francisco business owners and homeowners looking to install solar systems can now benefit from a $3 million rebate program that has been given final approval by city supervisors, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The program will allow residents to receive between $3,000 and $6,000 for photovoltaic systems that produce at least 1 kW of electricity, and businesses $1,500 per kW. Businesses' solar rebates are capped at $10,000.
City supervisors additionally gave initial approval to a rebate program that would create a $1.5 million fund for installations for nonprofit organizations and low-income residents.
