AstroWatt, a developer of thin crystalline solar cell technology, has hired Jeannine Sargent as executive chairman. In her role, she is responsible for providing strategic direction and corporate development oversight to the company.
Sargent brings to the position more than 20 years of international experience in several established and emerging technology markets. Recently, she served as the founding CEO of Oerlikon Solar, a provider of thin-film PV turnkey equipment, and is currently a director of SiOnyx, a developer of shallow-junction photonics for the image sensor and solar markets, and a venture adviser at Crosslink Capital Ltd.
