Satcon Technology Corp., a provider of utility-scale power-conversion solutions for the renewable energy market, says it has achieved the No. 1 position in market share for the North American solar inverter market.
The company cited data published in IMS Research's Q1 2011 PV Inverter Quarterly Market Tracker Report that shows Satcon shipped the most total megawatts of any inverter manufacturer in the Americas in the first quarter of 2011 (Q1'11).
‘Satcon was one of the biggest market share gainers in Q1'11, gaining considerable share in the Americas in particular,’ says Ash Sharma, research director at IMS Research. ‘They continue to demonstrate impressive growth in the Americas and Asia, and this will be extremely important for the future, as these markets are predicted to drive global demand.’
