Satcon Technology Corp., a provider of utility-scale distributed power solutions for the renewable energy market, has expanded its international manufacturing and supply chain operations.
The company plans to increase its global manufacturing capacity to over 600 MW in 2009. It will utilize its manufacturing facilities in Burlington, Ontario; and Shenzhen, China, as well as partner with DB Schenker Logistics, to provide global logistics and transportation services for all of Satcon's global supply chain needs.
Satcon will partner with the DB Schenker solar division to deliver global transportation services for its inverter operations located in Burlington, Ontario; Shenzhen, China; and Fremont, Calif. Satcon will also utilize DB Schenker in North America, Europe and Asia to provide logistics and distribution services including final delivery to Satcon's customer's door through DB Schenker's extensive land transport network.
