Satcon has installed four 250 kW PowerGate Plus inverters at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC), which the company says is the largest solar rooftop installation in the southeast U.S.
The OCCC, located in Orlando, Fla., features a 1.1 MW rooftop monocrystalline PV system that occupies 200,000 square feet. The system was designed and built by Johnson Controls Inc.
The four 250 kW Satcon PowerGate Plus inverters are expected to deliver over 1.1 million kWh in the first year of operation – enough energy to power over 100 homes.
