Satcon, a provider of utility-scale distributed power solutions for the renewable energy market, has signed a preferred reseller agreement with Survey Digital, an Athens, Greece-based company that provides consulting and power conversion system solutions for solar PV systems.
This announcement follows the 40 euro cent to 50 euro cent feed-in tariff published by the Greek Regulatory Authority for Energy in 2008 with the goal of generating 700 MW of solar power by the end of 2009. Under this agreement, Survey Digital will be the preferred reseller of Satcon solutions, including the PowerGate Plus solar PV inverters, for Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
‘With the combination of one of the highest feed-in tariffs for PV production in the world, generous subsidies and a favorable consumer climate, Greece has quickly become a very exciting marketplace to invest in utility scale PV projects,’ says Dr. Konstantinos Daniilidis, founder of Survey Digital.
