Satcon, a provider of utility-scale distributed power solutions for the renewable energy market, has provided its PowerGate Plus photovoltaic inverters for the San Jose Unified School District installations. These projects are the largest K-12 solar and energy efficiency projects in the U.S., Satcon says. The 5.5 MW project is currently providing power to 14 district sites.
The PV system was dedicated at Willow Glen Middle School and High School in San Jose, Calif., on Feb. 5th.
