Venlo, Netherlands-based Scheuten Solar, a manufacturer of solar cells and modules, has signed a turnkey engineering, procurement and construction contract and a photovoltaics maintenance contract for the installation of nearly 3,500 solar panels with Loveld NV of Aalter, Belgium.
Loveld is active in the field of architectural concrete and incorporation of natural stone into precast elements. The solar panels, which the company says have a total output in excess of 708 kW, will be installed on the flat roof of Loveld's production facility in Aalter.
The system features aerodynamic housing around the solar panels to provide stability by preventing wind from entering, Scheuten Solar notes.
