Schletter Inc. has signed an agreement to partner with KACO new energy Inc. and Abound Solar Inc. on its Fall 2010 Solar Training Workshop and Conference, which will be held from September 14-16 at Schletter's 70,000 square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility in Tucson, Ariz.
According to the companies, this three-day event is designed for experienced builders and developers, dealers, contractors, structural and systems design engineers, installers, suppliers, product wholesalers, electrical distributors, HVAC/R professionals and others who have a solid understanding of solar fundamentals, as well as basic electrical and mechanical concepts.
The workshop provides an intensive combination of in-class and hands-on lab activities. It will cover all types of mounting solutions, including racking basics, systems and components solutions, mounting and project planning overviews, engineering and geotechnical soil investigation procedures, quoting/estimating, and design tools for installation solutions.
Additional course topics will cover inverter design and programming, as well as thin-film photovoltaic module technology, design tools, performance simulation and detailed economics of electricity production.
