The Hemet Unified School District says it is pursuing 4.4 MW in solar electric projects across 17 district sites in California. The installations will be sited on shade structures at the district's elementary, middle and high schools.
Each system was financed through a SurePath power purchase agreement from San Francisco-based Tioga Energy, a provider of renewable energy services. Johnson Controls Inc. will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for all 17 installations.
