SCHOTT Solar PV Inc. and Reading, Pa.-based RMK Solar have inaugurated what the companies say is the largest ground-mounted photovoltaic solar farm in Pennsylvania. The 3.55 MW plant is located at Snyder's-Lance Inc., where it is expected to generate approximately 30% of Snyder's-Lance's annual power consumption.
RMK Solar utilized local workers to install the ground-mounted system, which consists of 15,092 SCHOTT POLY 235 solar panels on approximately 26 acres across from Snyder's-Lance's Hanover, Pa., manufacturing plant.
