SCHOTT Solar has developed a new 225 W polycrystalline photovoltaic module that will be manufactured at the company's new solar manufacturing facility in Albuquerque, N.M. The SCHOTT Solar Poly 225 will complement the company's 310 W module, which is currently manufactured at SCHOTT Solar's Billerica, Mass., facility.
‘The introduction of a 225 W module to the North American market enables us to meet the demands of an increasingly diverse marketplace,’ says Mac Moore, SCHOTT Solar's executive vice president of sales and marketing. ‘A module of this size is ideal for a wide range of commercial and residential applications.’
The decision to manufacture a 225 W module in the U.S. was the result of direct feedback from customers and market analysis, the company says. The SCHOTT Solar Poly 225 will complement the company's global portfolio of photovoltaics and will combine best practices from SCHOTT Solar's global manufacturing expertise to deliver an innovative, high-quality, reliable module.
