Second 11.8 MW Portion Of St. Isidore PV Plant Operating

EDF EN Canada, an EDF Energies Nouvelles company, says it has reached commercial operation on the second 11.8 MW installation of the St. Isidore solar project. The St. Isidore plant consists of two solar PV installations located 6 km apart, near the town of St. Isidore in the Municipality of the Nation, Ontario.

The second 11.8 MW installation – St. Isidore B – began delivering clean electricity to the Hydro One distribution grid in late December 2011. The first 11.5 MW installation – St. Isidore A – came online in December 2010. These two installations combined will deliver nearly 24 MW under the Government of Ontario's Renewable Energy Standard Offer Program.

The St. Isidore B site consists of 152,000 panels. enXco Service Canada Inc. will provide long-term operations and maintenance services.
