The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Mid-Atlantic Solar Energy Industries Association (MSEIA) have entered into a formalized partnership designed to coordinate the resources of both organizations and promote the growth of the region's solar energy market. Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey are all represented by MSEIA.
In the Mid-Atlantic region, the solar market employs over 7,500 people at more than 640 companies, mostly small businesses, according to the organizations. At the end of the third quarter of 2011, there were 605 MW of solar installed in the region.
