SEIA Says Sunrun Will Open New Office, Create 800 Jobs In Denver

San Francisco-based residential solar installer Sunrun plans to open a corporate office in downtown Denver that will create 800 new jobs, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA).

Lynn Jurich, Sunrun's CEO, says that this move was encouraged by Colorado's support of alternative energy resources and the abundance of ‘tech talent’ in the area. Specifically, Jurich mentions the state's pro-net metering policy was an encouraging factor.

This news comes on the heels of Sunrun's recent exit from Nevada, after the PUC's anti-solar decision forced the company to end all sales operations in the state and, as a result, lay off hundreds of employees.
